Forgiveness…

I’ve been in many conversations where I am asked, “How do I forgive him/her/them/myself?” So I just thought I would share the following.

Forgiveness is an action, it doesn’t just occur; we must do it. How is it done? It begins within us, we start to forgive internally. We hinder forgiveness from existing when we allow ourselves to hate and resent others or when we set out to have revenge. We cannot feel forgiveness; we have to will it into being. We have to work on forgiveness; forgiveness of others and forgiveness of self.

In the Lord’s Prayer we say: “Forgive us our trespasses; as we forgive those who trespass us against us”.

Sometimes the “those who trespass against us” can be ourselves too. Do we set out to forgive ourselves? Forgiveness, once again, starts within us; it’s internal. If you decide to hate and resent yourself then you hinder your own forgiveness and your ability to forgive others.

Be Brave; Be Strong; Forgive.

Suddenly….

Suddenly I feel a surge of energy in my brain… It moves like a speeding train.

Suddenly the neurotransmitters activate… Don’t worry I will not ‘explainate’.

Suddenly I have meaning to love… It has nothing to do with a turtle dove.

Suddenly I have found more inspiration… Nope, nothing to do with my lungs and inhalation.

Suddenly I have leaped into faith… There is so much to saith.

Suddenly I have experienced empowerment… I can assure I got nothing from the government.

Suddenly it’s all about LIFE… Love… Inspiration… Faith… Empowerment…

The Reopening

ImageAs the New Year, 2013, moves swiftly along it ushers in the reopening of the second school term of the academic year 2012-2103 as well as the second semester of my second year of  postgraduate studies. 2012 gave me emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical challenges which I endured and overcame. I left that year strengthened. Strength that would be used as I set out to take on 2013.

I have reopened my mind, heart and soul for new challenges and experiences. My students will return with renewed energy and a thirst for knowledge, well most of them, and I am expected to harness this energy and quench their thirst. This I am prepared to do.

I will be engaged in studies and interacting with a new professor. Unlike my students my intellectual energy is spent but my thirst for knowledge is ever-present. My energy will be renewed however as I am determined.

“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”

Determination and Preparation….

Best Wishes to you for 2013.

New to this…

So I normally share my thoughts on anything that enters my mind and causes me to think…  Many of my friends kept prompting me to start a blog. Well for 2013 I am getting it started. I hope my studies don’t distract me from keeping up with it. LOL!

Best Wishes for 2013… 🙂
